Elder J. Lindsey Williams, Sr. is an Assistant To The Pastor at St. John Baptist Church Queens, NY under the leadership of his father/pastor Elder Dr. James D. Williams, II.
Elder Williams accepted the call to preach God's word and delivered his initial sermon in June 2006. He has received formal religious training from Nyack College and North American School of Theology, and has traveled across the country preaching and teaching God's Word.
He has preached for the Pastor’s & Minister’s Division and Young People’s Auxiliary of the Empire Missionary Baptist Convention, Eastern Baptist Association Youth hour, conferences, revivals and services. Elder Williams was a co-host on a gospel talk internet radio show.
Elder Williams is a lover of God's word and expounding on the scriptures. As far as the ocean spreads and deep as the ocean runs, his passion is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world.

A native of the Bronx, NY, Reverend Michael-Aaron Poindexter serves as the Minister of Community Life and Outreach of the Metropolitan Baptist Church, a vibrant, exciting ministry in Albany, NY, where his father in ministry, The Rev. Dr. Damone Paul Johnson serves as Senior Pastor. Before his ministry assignment was expanded, he served on staff as the Minister of Youth and Young Adults at Metropolitan for 5 ½ faithful years. He accepted his call to preach at 15 and commenced preaching the Gospel at the age of 18 in 2006 at Metropolitan.
He has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Studies, Africana Studies, and Business from the State University of New York, University at Albany (2009). He has also proudly earned a Master of Divinity degree (M.Div.) from the United Theological Seminary where some of the notable alum are Dr. Jeremiah Wright, Dr. Otis Moss, Jr., and Drs. Floyd and Elaine Flake and some notable past faculty members are Dr. Cornel West, Dr. Samuel Dewitt Proctor, and Dr. Wyatt Tee Walker.
He is the founding director of the successful Metropolitan Youth Summer Camp which has been in operation for eight years. He started the camp because there was a need for safe summer enrichment in the Arbor Hill community and he believed God was calling him to meet that need. The Youth camp started as a two-week camp with 2 paid staff, one volunteer, and 20 campers in 2011 and the camp has now grown to an eight-week camp with more than 265 campers and 20 staff.
Demonstrating strong promise in preaching, teaching, and pastoral ministry, in 2009 Reverend Poindexter received the Dr. Spurgeon E. Crayton seminarian award from the Rev. Dr. Carl L. Washington, Jr. (Congress President) and the Empire Baptist Missionary Convention Congress of Christian Education. He has been featured as the cover article for the “Faces of Faith” section in the Albany Times Union newspaper and he has been the recipient of numerous awards from nonprofit, private, and public organizations due to his academic success and his tireless effort to see his community succeed.
He has had the pleasure of preaching, speaking, and teaching at a variety of churches, community venues, and institutions of higher education across the nation. In his secular profession, he works as a Community School Coordinator for the City School District of Albany and loves the opportunity each day to positively impact a life.
He and his beautiful wife Amber are the proud parents of one son Ashton Michael and two daughters Makena Aubree and Malia Amadi. Michael knows he is the product of unconditional love shown to him every day by a loving Christ named Jesus.
